I'm feeling a lot better today. I'll see the doctorb Friday; I've been hearing recommendations ranging from getting back on the Pill to hysterectomy. We'll see what she says. I don't think 3 days of nigh-unbearable pain is reasonable to put up with, but I still feel like I'm whining. How did tough cave women deal with this sort of thing? I mean besides dying by age 26?
Anyway, I didn't even get to talk about Friday. Hub had planned to cook some veggie dinner for Kirby's visit, and
burgundy aka Naomi said she'd like to meet too, so it seemed like a good time to invited her over as well. The calabacita was really good, but didn't stretch as far as was planned so was supplemented by quesadillas. It was Mexican chow night, and I was having a good time. Conversation ran to the silly as we watched in horror what the Trading Spaces people inflicted upon poor home owners. I felt guilty we didn't watch something, I dunno, more highbrow or something but everyone seemed amused. Kirby skipped out around 9 and Naomi stayed to watch Talk Sex with Sue Johansen, with even more amusing commentary and much giggling.
Saturday was a bit of shopping on drugs, Darvocet I believe. I replaced the dvd Mom told me she didn't have but does with something else. Northcross Mall has really fallen on hard times; they used to be quite a bustling mall but I stopped going there because I'd heard it was going to be turned into an office building. It never was, but a lot of the stores left and they replaced the ice skating rink with a bunch of big inflatable ball pits or whatever those things are.
Sunday was aforementioned suck-fest; Monday I od'ed and tried to go in to work at 1:30pm after sleeping it off, but got really nauseous and left after an hour. I've done burned all my sick leave and wrote a whiney apologetic letter to my boss, hoping to avoid too much trouble. I came to work today with the response 'Thanks for letting me know, take care of yourself' which is nice. I also found 2 cases she wanted re-entered, the first time I've ever had that happen. I feel fairly vindicated however; one of the cases I entered the way I did based on the recommendation of another supervisor (and had so documented), so as far as I'm concerned it's up to them to duke it out. The other I had actually entered the way she wanted me to, but she was looking at the wrong case number. So go me and stuff.
