Yesterday I had that stupid unit meeting to go to, but it was 2 hours of paid time spent sitting around and eating pizza and talking about 'ER'. I guess there are worse things. But after I hied off to Tar-jay on ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
scorpionis's recommendation and found exactly what I was looking for. Huzzah! Thanks, Antares! I also found a few other things I needed, like wrapping paper and this wonderful orangey goo that you put in an oil warmer that makes your whole house smell wonderful. I loaded up on that.
I got home and started up a batch of wassail, and soon after Bob, Bean, and Stephen showed up. Bob had his last final and we went to Zorba's for a celebration dinner (which seems like the 8th time we've gone out for dinner this week- yikes!) and then down to 37th street to see the lights. Not everyone was decorated down there, but plenty enough were for it to be the usual entertaining, colorful chaos. We came back and had a bit of wassail and played some Chez Geek. Around 12:30 people decided to mosey home and we crashed.
Yule is exactly 1 week away. I am trying to get a leg up on cleaning so that I am not having to bust my ass getting everything ready the day of the ritual. I also need to get going on the tree decorating now that I have lights! Plus there's also D&D tonight. Gaah!
