I'm at work, bored, and can't think of anything especially deep to say. So, since I just discovered it, a month of Friday Fives.

1. What vehicle do you drive?
A 1997 Honda Odyssey white minivan- Homer. With the 4-cyl. engine- what mileage!
2. How long have you had it?
Since February of this year.
3. What is the coolest feature on your vehicle?
I like that I can sleep in it. The back seat flips into the floor, the middle seats come out pretty easily, and using some acoustic tile to level the floor, a full-sized futon mattress fits in the back nicely.
4. What is the most annoying thing about your vehicle?
It gets no respect on the road. I drove a huge rusty sedan before, and I guess people thought I had nothing to lose and gave me a wide berth. Now I get cut off all the time. The nice small engine doesn't give me a lot of voom, which may be part of the problem, but I wouldn't trade it nevertheless.
5. If money were no object, what vehicle would you be driving right now?
I think I'm pretty happy with what I have. The newer models have bigger engines, and I feel bad enough driving a minivan as it is, at least the mileage is reasonable. Oh yeah- I want one of the new Honda Silverwing scooters. It'd be much better for commuting and bopping around town.

1. Do you watch sports? If so, which ones?
None. Sports are boring.
2. What/who are your favorite sports teams and/or favorite athletes?
I could give a rip. Honestly, I never watch sports at all, unless you count Iron Chef. Then I guess I like whichever one is the older fellow who wears the granny glasses when he cooks; I think it's Sakai Hiroyuki but I'm not positive.
3. Are there any sports you hate?
I would have to care to hate, I guess. :) I am generally irritated at how much attention is paid to sports at the expense of more worthy subjects in high school and college.
4. Have you ever been to a sports event?
Yeah, I was in marching band, so I went to all of our football games. I also saw an Astros game in Houston back when I was about 13.
5. Do/did you play any sports (in school or other)? How long did you play?
G'head, guess! I was immensely relieved when I found out that we could substitute marching band for our PE requirement in high school. I did get first place in a crab-walk relay when I was 7 or so.

1. Name five things in your refrigerator.
skim milk, Juicy Juice (cherry), duck-flavored rice unless hub's finally pitched it, aging mushrooms, Diet DrPepper
2. Name five things in your freezer.
a freaking huge bag of frozen turkey broth, Dave Matthews Band flavored ice cream, an ice maker (thank the gods!), parathas, blood worm cubes for the fish
3. Name five things under your kitchen sink.
Simple Green, ammonia, dishwashing liquid (blue flavor), white vinegar, bleach
4. Name five things around your computer.
(assuming I was at home) bills, a few pairs of earrings, a sandstone sphere, a bunch of D&D related crap, and various organs rendered in plastic (a heart, a brain, and an eyeball)
5. Name five things in your medicine cabinet.
Guifenasin, Neosporin, some of that minty soap stuff, aspirin, and some prescription pain killers for when the aspirin don't cut it

1. What was your first Halloween costume?
Probably a skeleton. My brother and I both had a weird fear and attraction to skeletons, and went as skeletons several years in a row.
2. What was your best costume and why?
Death, in New Orleans. Why... because I was in New Orleans for Halloween!
3. Did you ever play a trick on someone who didn't give you a treat?
Nah... I was never a pushy kid.
4. Do you have any Halloween traditions? (ie: Family pumpkin carving, special dinner before trick or treating, etc.)
No, sadly. After elementary school it was up to me if I wanted to do anything for Halloween at all.
5. Share your favorite scary story...real or legend!
In 2000, people voted for the president of the USA, and one little girl thought 'surely we aren't that dumb that we'd elect the child of a former president just because of name recognition...'
