I am thrilled- Daylight Savings Time is over! Garsh, I hate DST so.

Anyway, I worked on Wednesday and ran some errands, including taking a jaunt to the new Petsmart for a ton of cat fud and litter. Have I mentioned how terrific that wheat-based litter is? Well, it's a good thing I like it, because now we have 40 pounds of it. D&D was that evening; we just finished a big campaign so we spent the whole session buying crap. Which was fun, but probably not what most people think of when they think of D&D. We ordered from a new place that flyered our neighborhood called 'Pluckers'. I'm sad to say that they sucked. They were overpriced, it took them an hour, and the food was just not that great. I am willing to grant them a break, though, because we ordered the day the flyer arrived, so they may have been swamped. And I just don't think fried food works well delivered. Perhaps if we do give them another try, we'll dine in.

Thursday we went to see Bob as vampire Frank in April's Fool. It was at least as good as you'd expect free dinner theater at an outside barbecue place. :) No, really, I had fun, and Bob obviously loves the part. We left before 'Zombies: The Musical' (*wince*) and decided to take a walk to Amy's Ice Cream. Half-Price was on the way, so we popped in. I said hi to [livejournal.com profile] todfox, and while he and hub were chatting, old friend Natalie and I talked and caught up.

Natalie used to be my closest friend, but time and circumstance has distanced us over the years. I think we both wish that weren't the case, but we're just not close in many ways. But she always seems really happy to see me, and I think I will try to visit her more often.

Amy's was tasty. Their ice cream is such that you can get a tiny amount and fell like you've eaten a big pile of ice cream. It's pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Friday was a day to plough through more posts and respond on a Wicca/Wiccoid/pagan list I'm on, and a bit frustrated with. But someone there gave me a link to another list that seems to have a lot less noise on it; I signed up and have been really impressed with the level of discussion there- they seem to be more where I'm at in my thinking and studies. That evening we decided to visit Brö who I hadn't seen for awhile. It was a lot of tv watching and video-game playing, but that's what we always do when we visit him. Good, funny conversation was had as well, in addition to tasty Wan-Fu grub.

Yesterday we did chores; clean, laundry, et cetera. We have 3 people from out of town who've come to float in the tank today, so we wanted to make sure the place was picked up. The evening was going to be devoted to Elder's fire-making class, but she had a family emergency and I had no back-up plan. So I told everyone 'come over anyway, we'll hang out and play a game or something.' Before folks arrived we went to the new Super-Target to check them out and pick up some stuff. That place is cool! It's like a super-Wal*Mart, but I didn't feel like I'd betrayed my ancestors or whatever like I do whenever I set foot into a W*M. I'm sure Target has many of the same evil corporate stuff going on, but I haven't heard anything like I have about W*M. Anyway, we found the stuff we needed and I decided I'd make cookies for everyone, so we grabbed supplies for that.

Brenda, Bob, and Phil showed up and we watched some 'I Love The 80's' on VH-1. That show is surely 'lowest common denominator' but it was still hysterical. After dinner, I started on the cookies. It was really a lot of fun, and I got totally sick of cookies (and cookie dough) by the time the evening was over. We played a rousing game of 1000 Blank White Cards, a game we hadn't played in awhile. I'd tell you who won, if the game was like that- we all drew a lot of cards and laughed ourselves silly. After that we just chilled to some ambient music and went to bed, with Bob crashing on the couch. The much-anticipated cold front had come through, and it really felt like fall. Life is good.

Super Target daaaaangerous: I love that place.

I too share your disdain of DST. That has to be one of the dumbest ideas in history. Guess I'll just have to move to Arizona where they don't participate.
