This entry brought to you by the business center at the Holiday Inn in Eagle Pass. My dad's moving here and asked me to come along and help.
I neglected to write about a dream I had a couple of nights ago that was really haunting. It was set in outer space, and I (or the protagonist, it's hard to find ego sometimes in dreams) was trying to escape some terrible evil. There was a great emerald-green star, and somehow it was my salvation. After some effort I was able to push through the invisible barrier surrounding this sun, and let gravity pull me into it. I knew that I was going to die, but in doing so I robbed the evil what was pursuing me of its prize, and was triumphant. The simple, haunting and sad piano line from 'American Beauty' was the soundtrack. It was one of those moments filled with despair and joy at the same time.
