I hate this cough. It rattles and crackles when I breathe, it gives me a headache, and nothing's coming up. I'm taking this sudafed-guifenasin combo (yes, and drinking lots of water. Jesus, I never peed so much) that may or may not be helping; I mean, if I wasn't taking it, how much worse off would I be? But the thing I hate about these pills... they smell funny. Kind of like bug poison. And when I take them... I smell like bug poison. I asked hub, who said after sniffing me 'well, maybe, I dunno' so perhaps only I can detect it. But it bothers me.

An herb I recommend highly (unless you name pneumonia) is horsetail, sometimes called shavegrass. Go to your local bulk herb place and get some loose, then roll yourself a horsetail doobie. It usually only takes about 1-2 tokes to feel the difference...you won't cough as much, your cough will not hurt so much, your cough will be more productive, and your lungs will open *way* up (which is exactly why not to use it in conjunction with pneumonia). It's a miracle herb, really.

Thanks! I used to get my herbage at Whole Foods, but they stopped carrying them in bulk. Do you know where in north Austin I could get some of the stuff?
