Ah, afternoon naps. Plus, it seems like some kind of front hit and it's gotten to where it's almost pleasant outside!
I slept hard. I woke up fast, too, so I remember a lot of the weird dreams I was having. So, for no added extra charge to you, a peek into my head!
Several people and I were going to a campout. I don't recognize any of them, and it felt like some sort of church group. But we only got partway there, so we stopped at a grocery store and camped out in there. I parked Homer in one of the aisles, and me and some guy were assigned another aisle to sleep in. It became quickly apparent that the section of aisle we had was not long enough for both of us to stretch out comfortably- then it occurred to me, shit, why don't I just sleep in my van? So I went looking for it, and noticed people were shopping. I had thought they were letting us camp in the store because it was closed, but it looks like it wasn't after all. I couldn't find Homer, and at that point I realized 'hey, I'm dreaming, of course I can't find Homer- this is a common theme in dreams.' So I stopped worrying about it (though I kept searching). I saw a door into the back, and thought to go hunting back there. I wound my way through many weird rooms with red lighting and brightly painted walls where kids were doing learning/summer camp activities, some of which revolved around learning about Canada. I found 2 friends up a flight of stairs, and they had a whole shag-carpeted room to themselves (still with the red lighting). I asked if I didn't find Homer could I crash up there with them, and they happily said yes and it turned into a slumber party sort of atmosphere. We even got partially naked, and it looked like there was going to be a threesome for awhile there. Then Elton John showed up (!) and started singing 'Happy Birthday' to one of the friends in different musical styles. When he got to Reggae, we all ran out into the backyard (the setting had turned from a grocery store to someone's house) to smoke a joint. I didn't have enough to make a whole joint, so I told everyone 'hey, I only have enough for about 3 hits.' Then I saw that Homer was parked in the backyard, so was happy to see him but when I ran around a big cedar bush to get to him, I had lost him again. I felt confident that I'd find him when I needed to, and considered sleeping in him but decided it was too cold outside and too far away from the bathrooms, so I'd just camp in the room with the 2 friends like I had planned.
I woke up, and though I've been awake for close to an hour I still don't feel like I have both feet planted in the mundane world yet. It feels very odd.
