Well, hot damn! I can now get around to all that carpet munching I've been meaning to do since it's now legal! Seriously, though, I'm very happy about this. It's one less thing Brö could be hauled off to jail for. And one less thing the other states can hold up as evidence that Texas is stoopid. We still have that whole president problem, but that isn't just our fault.
Last night we went to see a comedian at the local comedian establishment, the Cap City Comedy Club. I was heading into work and listening to the local wacky morning show, and they played bits from a fellow that were really funny. I jumped on the station's message board, and found out who he was (RJ Brow) and that he was playing at above-mentioned establishment this week. Someone happened to give me some free passes awhile back, and now I had a chance to use them! The guy was pretty funny, and I had an excellent time. I hadn't been to Cap City since about 1990 or so when it was the Laugh Stop and I saw Bill Hicks there based on an article in the Austin Chronicle. Ah, Bill, why'd you die instead of Carrot Top or Colin Quinn?
Today the cats will be shaved. Bowie and Bolt both have mats in their fur, and I cannot get them out. Bolt has always been lazy about grooming and refuses to let me brush him anywhere below his neck (which does me no good). I don't know why Bowie got so lazy. Well, they're both gonna get it now. I can't really afford it, but I've seen Bolt get this way before and the mats would only get worse, and it's only gonna get hotter (I suspect this is connected with warm weather shedding). So screw it, I'm gonna charge it and they're both going to look like kitty marines. I did it, so it's their turn.
