(no subject)

No one's called me or otherwise responded to my query about the lavender farm so it will be hub and I tomorrow (wanna come- let me know ASAP). I am hoping to get up and get on the road by 8; I e-mailed the lady and she said it was looking good, and that it takes about an hour to get there. There is rain in the forecast, but it looks like Austin's going to be on the northwest edge of where most of the rain will fall, and this place is even norther and wester.

Today I had lunch with old friend Cathy. She has been going to school and working so I haven't seen a lot of her in the last several months. It was fun to catch up with her; we talked about things like bird feeders and which is better- hardwood floor or tile, and a lot of other sort of low-key topics like that. She said we should hang out more, and now that she's between semesters and quit her job she should have some more free time for awhile.

Ellen called me about going to the lake, but we got a bunch of rain and I don't know if she's going. I've left her a message. I probably couldn't go anyway since I am sans car today (hub's car got a flat) but I hope she calls me back.

Tonight is D&D. We're doing finger foods and Brenda said she might even bring some homemade cheesecake. Woo!
