Good customer service props
May. 18th, 2004 11:26 amI pre-ordered a D&D book a few weeks ago from a guy on eBay. Theoretically I am supposed to get it as soon as it was released. Hub mentioned that he saw it in the gaming store last night, so I sent him an email asking when my book was going to be sent. He sent me back a letter right away saying he expected them in today, and would ship today. His name is gatetech-biz in case any of you nerds want to look him up. He sells new stuff for cheaper than the list price.
My mp3 player crapped out pretty early this morning, so I switched to the ambient channel on Radio Io. They play the exact same stuff as Musical Starstreams, but all day long and with less commercials, so I heart them. But the station crapped out suddenly; I checked connections, buffering, and all that with no luck. So I fired off a pissy email to them. Very shortly thereafter I got an email that said "Thanks for the quick notice- I've got people looking into it" then about 5 minutes later "All fixed- you can listen again!" and I'm getting Foresty goodness now. This is a happy thing, because I'm starting to feel really stressed about this move, and I really really don't want to be at work right now. So hooray for Io, they help me to help the helpless people in the lone star state. Whee.
