OK, Tuesday was a major suckfest. Everyone in the state tried to log into the new thing all at once, and we all broke it. When it wasn't broken, the different pages were taking up to a minute to load. When you click through pages about two hundred times when you're taking a call, this bogs things down a bit to say the least. So people all around me were cursing and grumbling and yelling, and in one instance, running out of the office practically in tears. I almost feel my energy would have been better spent for the agency if I'd walked around whispering in people's ears "it's only a job! Who gives a shit? Don't worry! Relax, guy, take a load off!" but the agency might not've appreciated it. I was pretty much emotionally exhausted after 6 hours, and it was over a 10 hour day. Crikey. I hope they get that shit fixed by the time I go back in Sunday.

You know, there's nothing quite like home-made Boston baked beans with Hebrew National hot dogs cut up in them. It's like foncy high-falutin' Beanie Weenies. HNs are all-beef hot dogs and taste really, really fucking terrific. Oh, yeah.

I took Homer in for his 75k mile tune up this morning, and rode the bus as far north as I could on one bus (which, considering my mechanic's on a major bus artery, is pretty damn far). However like a maroon I made myself carsick by reading on the bus. *headslap* So, I did what I usually do when I disturb my flower-delicate inner ear- slept for a couple of hours. Then, Gailon called- the car was done! There was nothing much that needed fixing, just some tune-uppage. He mentioned that there were tons of people looking for Odysseys like mine, but they were hard to find. I really lucked out! I need to do a small thanks ritual, and think about putting a car alarm on it. :P

Then we decided to pay a visit south of the river and see Brö. On the way out, we drove past a really bad looking car wreck. I mean the car was smooshed past the point of being a recognizable car. As we approached it, I saw a fireman tugging at something- it was the door, and as we drove by I saw a limp form draped on the front seat. There was no blood, but the person was obviously unconscious. It was disturbing. I hope whoever it is makes it.

Now we're at Brö's and the menfolk are playing video games and watching that British show with the Bucket people.
