Aug. 10th, 2003 12:41 pmAnother day, another few dollars. More than I thought, actually- I took a paystub and calculated my hourly rate (I get paid once a month) and it's over $15/hour. After taxes, around $13. So I don't have to work as many hours as I thought I would to make up for the insurance cost increase. Huzzah!
Lammas ritual went... okay. I wasn't scheduled to write it or HPS it, so I was looking forward to a break- but everyone flaked on me and I ended up doing a lot more work than I expected. And no one who showed up said 'thanks'. The energy seemed really low. It was a bit depressing, really. Ah, well.
River mentioned planning a 3 day trip in October to Hot Springs, Arkansas. She says the cabins she's thinking of are $50 a day (so if we three went, I'd pay $50 as my share for the whole 3 days), you can mine for $10 a day and take home as much as you mine for that price, and have access to the hot springs for $10 a day, massages are cheap, and it sounds wonderful overall. I am also planning to go to Atlanta again in September for Autumnfest, but again will be splitting the traveling cost with Brenda (most likely) so it should be a pretty inexpensive jaunt.
[Edit: I suppose it's worth mentioning that we would be mining for pretty sparkly quartz crystals. It sounds a lot more fun that way, doesn't it?]
