Where is Spork?

Hub downloaded the Sims:Unleashed and I stayed up 'til midnight playing with it. I want to turn Mr.Scorpio of The Simpson's fame into crazy cat man. But not by buying one, oh, no... he's leaving food outside and hitting up every stray that comes to the door. Well, except 'Fluffly' (not a typo); Fluffly is a bastard and picks on everyone and bites Mr.Scorpio for no good goddamn reason. But we have high hopes for Spork (black shorthair) and Aristotle (seal point Himalayan). Things were going really well with Spork but he hasn't been around for a couple of days. This thing came up accompanied by evil music, and it turned out to be a raccoon, and I haven't seen Spork since. At first I thought the damn raccoon ate Spork but in looking at the online chatter, raccoons just fuck up your garbage and wake you up at night. So who knows.

And now I have to work. I don't wanna work! I wanna sleep some more!

I have found my divination method! I was supposed to have one already by the time I got this far in my studies, and I know a lot about astrology. But I use that a lot more for psychology and meditation than for predictions and divinations.

I've used this other method for as long as I can remember, and I've been reluctant to give it any weight because it's so... silly. It seems frivolous, almost. What I do is, I think of a question, or reflect on a situation, and randomly generate some music. I used to just flip the radio on, but since technology has advanced, I've hit the 'next song' button on my mp3 player, making sure it's on shuffle. The song that comes up more often than not has some eerie significance.

I tried it on a chat board I frequent, and the feedback was mostly positive (a couple of big klunkers, of course). I don't know how serious to take all this, but I somehow feel better now that I have a divination method. Music has been a part of my life as long as I can remember, I studied it for years, and this feels good. It's even like having your own Tarot deck when you use your own mp3s- and there is a whole lot of variation in the music, at least in my mind. But you can still use someone else's deck and just flip on the radio.

Maybe I should write a book! Llewellweyllewelln will love it!
