Dec. 17th, 2002 12:31 pmWork, work, work. And I forgot to put deodorant on before I headed out and now I worry that I am not-so-fresh. I'm worrying because I'm either having hot flashes, or it's just really freaking hot at my pod. We don't have cubicles, they're pods, remember that. I hope I don't get too stinky; we have a unit meeting today.
Last couple of nights have been nice and quiet, including a couple of walks around the neighborhood. Austin is truly a beautiful city.
I am told to warn all you people off of seeing the new Lord of the Rings movie, because its initials (LOTRTTT) have most of the letters in Trent Lott's name, indicating a conspiracy by the government to send subliminal messages during the movie. Boredom is a scary thing, isn't it?
In other news, I ran into a guy at Half Price Books last week who I used to play D&D with many years ago when I was going to UT. He mentioned that the former DM, who I was really close friends with, was still in Austin. A quick google search pinned him down in no time so I sent him an email. He's sort of like a straight Gordon- a big, firey personality. We stopped being friends when he kept pressuring me to go out with him, but he's gotten married so I imagine he's safe now. Of course, when he did that I stopped speaking to him, so he may decide to ignore my letter, which would be fair, I suppose. We'll see.
