I also waited 'til the moment (more or less) of my birth to scratch off a lotto ticket I had bought a couple of weeks ago called 'Witches Riches'. I won 3 times- a total of $4, but still. :)

Hubby made me a spectacular meal of... pasta de hubby; he invented it on the spot and it involved lasagna noodles rolled up with roasted garlic, onions, cheese and mushrooms and covered in homemade Alfredo sauce (he learned to make roux)- deadly, but marvelous. Bob brought over salad and made garlic bread (6 cloves or so), and Bean brought some Bean food- apples, snap peas, and bell pepper, so we didn't all die from clogged arteries. Then we had black forest cake, made with vanilla cream frosting instead of whipped cream. Oh, it was wonderful!

We watched Harry Potter and sat around; occasionally going outside so Bob could have a clove. The weather was cold and clear, perfect to watch the rising almost-full Moon. Silliness ensued when Bean and I decided to turn hubby into a big Barbie head. She's one of those people that always carries a whole bunch of makeup around with her, and the theme used with him was 'Mexican whore'. This look works for him because he has big brown eyes and full lips. Think Counselor Troi with Riker's beard (except hub has a goatee, but it's nicely trimmed). So we put a lot of dark eyeliner on him and dark red shiny lipstick, with more shiny goop on top of it. It looked quite fetching, but pretty intimidating (Bean kept squeaking "I gave him DSL!" = dick-sucking lips). He makes a really hot looking woman, and I think he enjoyed the attention. He has this sultry look about him anyway, so this enhanced it.

After Bob and Bean left, we made out but the lipstick had to go- it was all waxy and weird and had that unpleasant artificially fruity smell. He scrubbed a lot of it off, but there was still some leftover stuff around his eyes that really did look good on him, in a sort of Eddie Izzard way.

We hit the hot tub. The Moon was closer to zenith, making me wish once again that we didn't have a roof over the thing. But there was still plenty of moonlight all over. I go back and forth, but I really do think that Fall is my favorite season. It was in the forties, perfectly clear, very crisp. Excellent hot tub weather.

I stayed up too late last night, as usual. But at least I got to have birthday cake for breakfast. :)
