More home improvement, tra-la! Almost all of the linoleum is up, and my computer has been temporarily moved upstairs since my workstation is usually the 'breakfast nook' area of the kitchen. So I'm sitting on the floor as I type this. Not terribly comfortable, but not bugging my leg like sitting in the office chair was.

About that- I went to the chiro and she said that sciatica can be caused by a few things; pinched nerve, muscle spasm in the butt area (she gave me the anatomical name but I don't recall it), out of whack sacrum or out of whack lumbar. She checked, and both the sacrum and lumbar were out of whack, so she whacked them back in and told me the nerve is probably inflamed and will be so for another couple of days. The pain went away immediately and I felt kind of floaty, but it's come back a couple of times, though not as bad. Ellen taught me some yoga stretches to help too, and I've been trying those. Hopefully this is very temporary.

Anyway, so I pulled linoleum yesterday. Here's a tip for you: do NOT pull linoleum naked. Apparently in addition to the sheets I was pulling, it also splinters into fine, tiny shards and if you're sitting on the floor as you adze away, you will get a million and one tiny shards of linoleum in your ass. This is not a happy thing! Stop laughing!

We're going to check out area rugs today. The last thing we want is one of those $800 wool buggers with that flowery shit around the border, to heat up the room and stain when the cat barfs on it or bongwater gets spilled on it. It really wouldn't go with our decor either, which runs heavy to student industrial-grade apartment furniture and odd pagany knick-knacks. So we're hoping to find something a little more modren.
