Casting a religious spin on it is offensive to those who just choose to eat that way for health reasons or whatever; and even if someone is a 'religious veggie' it's still rude. I don't refer to myself as an 'unrepentant pagan' in the company of Christians; it's just unnecessarily confrontational. People can be such jerks.
I'm not vegetarian, by the way, but I really don't understand the rage some people seem to have against them. The biggest claim is 'they try to make me feel bad!' Well, so do Catholics (for instance) but you don't see Wiccans flaunting their non-Catholic status in front of them just to be assholes. If any student of mine did that I would kick his or her butt.
I'm in a cranky mood today. Bleh.
