It's late. I'm not feeling so hot, but I can't seem to get to sleep.
I cleaned and did organizational stuff today, no big woop (and managed to stay naked the whole time!) and went to hang out with a fellow from another coven in town who expressed an interest in meeting me. There is some bad blood between some founding members of our respective groups, but despite that (and because of it to some extent) we thought it'd be nice to... well, not give any more reasons for more Hatfield and McCoy stuff than is absolutely necessary. It was good. He is a cool guy, and even if our groups don't join hands and teach the world to sing in perfect harmony, we seem to have similar tastes in movies and maybe could become friends.
Meanwhile, my throat hurts. I noticed it about 3 hours ago, and since then it's gone from 'noticeable' to 'really effing unpleasant', so I expect I'm going to be coming down with some nastiness or other in the next day or so. Shit. I've got so much to do! Tomorrow evening is class, then a late night showing of the Matrix 2, Friday is D&D, Saturday might be hanging out with Brö but maybe not. There is the Full Moon, but I don't think I have the juice to do a full-blown ritual. I may try to do something impromptu tomorrow during the day... perhaps something with a healing working in it, though I rarely do those for my own benefit.
I notice people are seeming extra crabby these last 24 hours. Stop it, y'all! Play nice! It's not anyone who reads my journal, I don't think, I'm just saying this to the universe in general.
We saw Two Towers Tuesday. Well, it was cool. Not THE GREATEST MOVIE EVAR, but a fine film. Remember that whole Hugo Weaving thing awhile back? I've noticed a long weird string of similar coincidences (someone mentions an actor, then I see a movie with him in it that night, or something similar) lately. The latest was watching 'The Phantom' on cable tonight, and discovering that Mr.Phantom's dad was played by the guy who starred in the old British TV series 'The Prisoner', which hub, Bob and I have been watching a bunch of. I don't think I've seen that guy in anything else. Treat Williams from 'Hair' was the bad guy, and the fellow I met with this evening mentioned that he'd been singing a lot of showtunes from 'Hair' at work. More weirdness ensues.
Burning Flipside campout is next weekend. Bob has mentioned that if we can manage to think of a way to make the van look even marginally strange, it can be considered an 'art car' and we can park it somewhere within a zillion miles of the main field, otherwise it gets banished to the hinterlands. I'm trying to come up with something non-permanent. If you have any ideas, feel free to share.
