Mom sounds just as bad as she did on Sunday, if not worse, and says she hasn't talked to a doctor because her regular doctor is out of town. When I said 'well, they have on-call guys or whatever, don't they?' she said 'Scott and White doesn't work like that' and changed the subject. So I imagine I'm going to end up taking her to urgent care tomorrow. From what she described they were real bastards to her, and she felt bad enough that she let them push her around and blow her off. That's not gonna happen tomorrow. Some beyotch nurse took her temperature, and Mom asked 'do I have a temperature?' and the nurse said 'you always have a temperature, but you don't have a fever.' in a really snotty tone. She's got some sulfa, but she says she doesn't feel any better. And I think she's been taking it since Friday. And it seems like there has been no follow-up scheduled of any sort.

Although I talked her into taking tomorrow off, she's now saying she's going back to work Thursday no matter what. I asked if she didn't get some kind of doctor's note; she asked the doctor about going to work and he apparently told her 'It's up to you.' Well, assuming she's not exaggerating, it sounds like she is not able to stick up for herself with these assholes, so I may have to go kick some ass or something.
