On Friday we went to Brö's for part 2 of his birfday celebration. This involved making foods of his choice, which included an Amaretto Italian cream cake, and fried macaroni and cheese, a recipe he'd seen on a 'Good Eats' episode. For all that it was all horribly bad for you, it turned out really well. That was when I started feeling sick with what hub had- my throat was hurting all day.
After Brö's we went to see Bob and Bean. They are pretty much a couple now, and despite Bob trying to be all smoov about it (oh, please) he seems very happy and excited, which is fun (being excited about things is one of his most endearing traits). He also played us some really cool music, but I've forgotten the artist now and will have to bother him for a burn later. I got to finally play with his roommate's bunny- an adorable creature about the size of a tennis ball. It (I am not clear on gender) seemed to really like me, and licked my fingers. It also peed on me, but them's the breaks I guess.
Yesterday we went to see Blast- it was a Christmas present from Brö to Mom, hub and I. I mentioned seeing the dvd of the show a few months ago, and this show was the same one. Even so, I was amazed and impressed, and had a great time. It's like 'Stomp' meets marching band, which might sound dorky to you- but you would be WRONG! So there.
Despite the great time, I've gotten sicker and sicker. I woke up to go to work, and my throat is closed up and I can barely speak. It's weird, because I feel pretty perky mentally and emotionally, just totally in the shitter physically. So since I speak for a living, I called in sick. I just got off the phone (after being on hold for about 20 minutes while writing this entry) and am heading back to bed. Good night, all.
