I'm in for a short shift at work today. I've gotten more calls than I expected, but then we're running with probably a quarter of the people we usually have here.
As I was driving in, running late even when I didn't have to come in until 10am, I blew past a cop. I thought he was a taxi, so I waited for the inevitable. He just ignored me though. Yay! Then I got to work and started to tie up my boots, and broke my very cool tie-dye shoelace. Waaah! So do I pitch them both, or leave one in and put a black one in the other?
Someone brought tamales, and they're good!!
Mom's coming in later, and we'll head over to Bro's for traditional Christmas eve junk food. Tomorrow is a very classy menu, on the other hand, courtesy of hubby and his amazing cooking skills. We got very goofy last night and wrapped presents while watching TV. It went a lot faster than I thought it would; then to the hot tub! A cold front has come in, and it was already in the 40's even though it'd gotten up into the 70's that day. Hot tubbing when a cold front is coming in is the best.
I talk about the weather a lot, don't I? And hub's cooking. He's always liked to cook, but it seems like it's been the last year or so when he's really come into his skills as a chef, IMHO. I never imagined I'd eat so well at home!
