Yule went really well. I slept 'til about 3, then got up and started getting ready for ritual. Hub was very helpful and mopped the entire downstairs (where there was concrete, anyway) and helped me pick up.
People started showing up before 5:30pm, and there ended up being a total of 15 people. The ritual went off OK, I thought, but then people were saying how much fun it was and what a great ritual and so on... I was pretty happy with the reaction, and considering I sort of had to write it at the last minute, I'm getting quite a big ego now about my ritual writing skills.
Feast afterward was fine, though 15 people is more than I can comfortably socialize with- but people seemed to entertain themselves and even helped clean up. They were all well-behaved for the most part Hub was sort of unhappy about there being that many people, but he managed. He was alarmed at a big chip in the floor, which is unhappy but I have no idea how it got there.
After was nice- hub gave me my Yule gifts, and I got a really cool tie-dye dress from the lady I'd bought a shirt from a couple of days ago. I also got a prezzie that is For Adults Only. Yay!
I'm glad it's a short week for me. I have not wrapped anything like I had planned, and there's a lot of stuff to wrap. I will be glad when the holidays are all officially over.
