I was awakened early this morning by thunderstorms. That was bizarre, in December! And of course now it's sunny. After I post this I'll probably head out and pick up a back-breaking bag of kibble, and a light for the 10g; the one on there is buzzing and is a year and a half old.
We did a bunch of shopping for meals last night. I don't know why even the most otherwise mundane, boring tasks are fun sometimes- it's probably the company.
After putting everything up we retired to the bedroom and flipped on HBO. They had an ancient Dennis Miller Live, back when Clinton was in office. He was bitching about how untrustworthy Clinton is. I just had to laugh; a president who gets blowjobs in the oval office is a skillion times better than one who wants to use nukes pre-emptively and supports government-sanctioned religious discrimination. But that's just my opinion; I could be wrong.
He also talked about Y2K (yeah, it was that old) and the Internet. His guest was Al Franken, who started in on the old saw about 'kids these days know so much about computers.' He goes into this deadpan voice...
"...like my six year old. He uses the Internet all the time for his schoolwork. He just finished this big project for his class. It was on bestiality. He had visual aids and everything."
Hub spluttered with laughter, which was interesting because he was performing cunnilingus at the time. I was laughing too, so it was OK. Ah, good times.
I've had this idea for a working in ritual where I take all the bits of candle I've saved (there's a LOT) and melt it into one big messy Frankencandle (not Al), and charge it for... something. Some kind of housecleaning type of spell. We've done 'get rid of your icky stuff' spells already at Samhain, so I can't do that, or at least not exactly that. Hmmm.
