I have a supervisor here that always, no matter how many details I have for her, asks for something I didn't get when I took the call. It's almost like a game. Her purpose is to find some pissy little non-relevant detail that I missed. Today, a woman attacked a relative while holding her 2 month old, and dropped the baby 5-6 feet on it's head in the process. So I go to staff this one, and this supervisor asks what kind of floor they have. Does it freaking matter?! No, it does not! Anyway, the child seems fine, and they've taken it to the doctor to be sure and arrested mom. Just so you know.
1) If you could be instantly fluent in one other language that you currently do not read or speak, which would it be?
Definitely Spanish, living in Texas like I do. I know a little, but it'd be great if I knew enough to actually have a conversation.
2) If you could have the starring role in any film already made, what would it be?
Hmm... maybe the chick in 'Altered States'.
3) If you could receive one small package this very moment, who would it be from and what would be in it?
I'm always able to find something to do with money- so probably a recently-discovered inheritance check for a million bucks. Not very inspiring, I know.
4) If you could own one painting from any collection in the world but were not able to sell it, which work of art would you select?
I'm more of a sculpture junkie, but probably something Egyptian if I had to have a painting.
5) If you were instantly able to play one musical instrument perfectly that you never have played before, what would it be?
Guitar- it seems so versatile. No one sits around the campfire and plays French horn.
6) If you could possess one supernatural ability, what would it be?
The ability to shapechange at will, or perhaps the ability to read minds.
7) If you had to choose the most valuable thing you ever learned what would it be?
That it's okay to relax; you're really not any worse than anyone else.
8) If you could have only one piece of furniture in your house, what would it be?
The bed, I do believe.
9) If you could read the private diary of someone you know personally, whose diary would it be?
Oh, I dunno... my husband? But not really. I think I know about as much as I need to know about all the people I know personally...
10) If you could have one person you know as your slave well-paid and cared for domestic laborer for one month, who would it be?
I'd be boring and practical and pick someone who could do things like paint the house, fix the trees, and such. Ty from Trading Spaces, perhaps. OK, and he would wear a Speedo and a tool belt and that's it, so I'm not too practical.
11) If you could choose the way you will die, how would you want it to happen?
During orgasm, or some other sudden painless manner.
12) If you could wake up tomorrow to learn that the major newspaper headlines were about you, what would you want them to say?

13) If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
After the usual screaming and hiring a fleet of attorneys and accountants and stuff, I'd probably pay off all my debts.

That would be 'Lie in our Graves' by Dave Matthews Band.
15) If you could take away the vocal cords of any person, who would it be?
Uh. Hmm. I dunno. Madonna?
16) If you had to describe your idea of the perfect mate, how would you do it?
Most likely, in writing. ;)
17) If you had to have a personal friend redecorate your house, who would you pick to do it?
Kirby. She not only has a great sense of style, she also knows how to pick things for other people- she is the best present-giver. She gives you what you want, not what she wants.
18) If you had to choose the worst home you've ever lived in, which one was it?
Hmmm; probably the efficiency apartment with the window a/c unit; but it was my first apartment so I look upon it with a misty sense of glurgy nostalgia.
19) If you could have prevented one thing from happening between you and a friend, what would it have been?
The sort of split between Natalie and I's friendship. I had to leave the mother grove, but I didn't want to abandon our friendship when I left. I'm still not sure why we stopped being close friends, so I'd have to know that for sure before changing it. If that makes sense.
20) If you could learn the total number of hours you have spent in your life doing one thing, what would it be?
Nothing really, I suppose it'd be interesting to know how much sex I've had.
21) If you had to describe yourself as a child in one word, what would it be?
Smart.
22) If you could own a single prop from any film ever made what would you choose?
I want the cartography room from 'Star Trek:Generations' as it's shown in the movie, which probably does not exist. Other than that... I always though Richard Gere wore a really cool tie in this one scene in 'Pretty Woman.' It was this blue batik looking thing. Oh, that's so boring... maybe one of the Mystic puppets from 'The Dark Crystal'. Ooh! Or the werewolf from 'American Werewolf in London'! Yeah!
