I found out earlier today that I have more leave than I thought I did. Then, I found out that there is a local Burner who is opening up her place for Leonid viewing.
Bob forwarded it to me, and may or may not go. I got the leave approved, and consarnit, I want to go. I have class, so I will not be able to leave until late tonight, but meteor watching will not be worth a flip until after midnight anyway. Of course, there is also a near-Full Moon to contend with, but that's okay. I may even ask students if they want to go, though chances are slim. I don't even know if hub will go.
I don't care. I'll take my drum. :)
Hey Everybody, come out to my place to watch the meteor shower on Monday night through Tuesday morning!
I live 15 minutes from the intersection of I35 and US 290 East. There is no light pollution. I have a lot of unheated shelter, so bring stuff to keep you warm. If you wish to put up a tent, there is room for that also. I will provide some food, but am unorganized and unemployed, so please bring your favorite intoxicants. Come out anytime after 4pm Monday. Hope to see you here. [signed, random person I have never met]
