Once again I have stayed up too late the night before I had to go into work. I don't have the spectacular sleep deprivation skills of
fenwickrysen, so I just feel like slightly hammered doo-doo.
Yesterday was a wash. There's some poop going down with one of the people in the coven and she'll probably end up leaving. I can't say that I'm surprised, but it still sucks. *sigh*
Ellen brought a friend over briefly last night- he's been a friend of theirs for over 20 years and is visiting from California. Apparently he did a lot of sensory-dep floating combined with ketamine back in the day, and we showed him our tank. He is an author along the same lines as Laurell K. Hamilton and does safety inspection for nuclear plants- he seemed like a really interesting fellow. I hope we can hang out more someday.
We spent a quiet evening after that. 'Rock Star' with Mark Wahlberg was on HBO, and I expressed tentative interest in it, expecting hub to shoot it down. He said he was game, so we watched it. It was a lot of fun, and took me back to my teen years back in the 80s. Then something I said prompted hub to spew out an amazing amount of trivia about Mark Wahlberg, including that he was Marky-Mark from New Kids on the Block. I then started joking with him about what a big fanboi he is; ah, good times. I know he isn't, he has this amazing ability to retain the most odd bits of trivia, and in copious amounts too. Product slogans, jingles, time lines from 'The Smurfs' and 'Transformers', and so on. And, that a typical styrofoam coffee cup holds six ounces of coffee. The power is yours! And knowing is half the battle! And let's make a difference!
