I swear, I'm getting senile. I can't remember if stuff happened last year, or 2 years ago, or what. This has nothing to do with anything else, but there you go.

I flew to Atlanta (Autumnfest is a yearly Trad camp-out, and though there are a few of our Trad here in Texas the vast majority of the members, including the head Witch and most of the elders, are in Georgia) with TD (The Dedicant, who shall remain nameless to protect his anonymousness), and was met there by TI (The Initiate) and later TE (The Elder), Austin folks all. I was really surprised that TD wanted to go, since he's only been in the club for a few months at this point and it took me several years of cajoling on TE's part before I decided it was worth it to go out there and meet everyone. But he wanted to go, and he travels for his job so he knew how to get us a good flight. So I ended up spending several hours with just him over the course of the event, and I conclude that he is an extremely cool person.

I'll talk about Autumnfest itself in later entries. First, to tie up a few loose ends... I didn't know that being gone for 4 days meant I would have so much electronic catching up to do! I swear, this computer is a time-suck, and I wonder if my counselor from years back was not wise in being worried about how much time I spend on it. I think I definitely should get it out of the bedroom. Speaking of which...

Last Wednesday was the last full day I was home. Hub took the day off, making some noise about a certain anniversary that I personally was sick to death of hearing about a long while ago, but anyway so hub wanted to hang with me on our last day together before my trip. Oh, man, the boffing- it was so mind-liquefyingly good I cannot find the proper words. 5 times. Five! *swoon*

A lady who wants me to write her a CoG letter of recommendation invited me to a rememberance ritual, because though I like her personally a whole bunch, I'd never worked with her in circle and I wanted to see how she does the ju-ju before I write the letter. She is originally from Jersey, so I felt this was an acceptable thing to break my 9/11 glurge fast for. It was a really excellent ritual, and I had a really fun time talking to her. She is an older lady, and is one of those people that is fun and full of love, and that I want to be like when I get to be her age. We started being friends awhile ago but I forwarded her an email that really bothered her, and I got embarrassed and stopped reaching out to her. It was dumb in retrospect, but neither of us is dead so there's a chance to remedy the situation.

My car only ended up costing about $230; but I still need bushings and 3 (?!) new tires. Maybe later.

Always looking to the future am I; but really, it's good to be home. Hello Austin! I've missed you and I'm happy to see you again!
