Well, time to get ready for this trip to Atlanta with Gordon. I need to pack. This involves sorting though the giant laundry-henge, and I need to figure out something for my shampoo- I don't want to fuck with the big liter bottles of the expensive stuff, so do I buy some little bottles of cheap crap or some empty bottles to put some of the expensive stuff in? Either way I need to go to the store.

Also, on Friday morning a guy from Bazaarvoice called and said he wanted to set up an interview for sometime this week. Shit! I didn't even get the message 'til about 1am Saturday morning since I went pretty much from work to Stevie's. I'm planning to be out of town starting pre-rush hour tomorrow, so I've already left a message saying "is today okay, or can it wait 'til next week?" Dammit. I hope I hear back and can get that scheduled today...

Gordon's a master scheduler control freak, and I'm trying to balance that out a little. It's nice in some ways because I usually end up being the scheduler in any interactions where someone has to do that. With Gordon, I can often let him take over, but sometimes he goes way overboard and tries to schedule things down to the minute. This ends up causing more stress than it solves, and already he's trying to micromanage when we leave tomorrow. I offered to drive to give him one less thing to worry about, but it just means he's hassling me about it. I hope he relaxes a little.

Well, not to be a total bitch-fest; we went to see Master Pancake's ridiculing of Jurassic Park on Saturday. Singing at services went well yesterday, as did the final Dedicant class. We had our Mabon feast last night, which was cool.

My contribution was 2 things. I rented a goat named Danielle from Rent Mother Nature and got some goat cheese from her, along with a letter and a photo. And, I brought a bottle of the blueberry mead I bottled back in June.

I'd never made it with blueberries, so it was a new experience. In the past I used orange juice but the mead never really had much of an orangy flavor to it. Not so with the blueberries- this mead turned out really super-sweet and you could definitely taste the blueberry. You could see it as well- mead's usually golden but this was a pleasant purple shade. It was also a thicker, almost syrupy texture- Eric thinks that's because blueberries have a lot of pectin in them. Anyway, it tasted almost like a honey-blueberry cordial.

Whichever is the cheaper vessel - take your nicest stuff on vacation. And after that, you'll have the bottles for future use.

That blueberry mead sounds like it came out killer good.
