Mr.Gatti died. The government is rounding up FBI guys to go after porn- not kiddie porn, just regular ol' porn. The FBI guys are all joking about it, which is probably a good sign. They (the gov't) are also planning to take tons and tons of Brit MREs (sent for Katrina victims)and set them on fire, because of an outdated fear of mad cow disease, even though these are the same MREs the Brits in Iraq are eating. Naturally the Brits are pissed. We have a hurricane heading our way.
It's just a weird day so far.
I had my blood drawn yesterday. The lady took one look at my scarred elbow pit and said "plasma or research?" It was plasma. I sold so much plasma when I was in college- oh, did I ever. $20 was a hell of a lot of money back then. *nostalge* I expect the blood drawing ladies appreciate us since they know we're not going to freak out about needles. I couldn't even feel it when she stuck me ('she's a witch! Burn her!'). Though if they come anywhere near my face I do freak. We all have our limits.
All the books are up off the floor, the remnants of the furniture assembly cleaned up, and all of it vacuumed. Hub installed the new blinds too- the bedroom actually looks pretty nice now! I went back and forth about what books to put where, but finally settled on a workable system. Right middle bookcase, all series fiction (and fiction by the series authors even if it wasn't part of the series). Far right- all other fiction, all humor, 'lifestyle' or editorial books, biographies, nature-related (the science kind, such as field guides or photo coffee table books, as opposed to the ones on magical use of gemstones and whatall), and all other non-fiction (dictionaries, legal guides, atlases, etc.). Left middle- basic Wicca and magic, symbol dictionaries, god/dess dictionaries, books specifically about sabbats and esbats, astrology books, art books, and my little collection of books about Pan. Far left- all other divination (including Tarot decks), quabala, holy books and commentary of same from various religions, books on nature from a magical perspective, magazines, notebooks, and binders. All of the bookcases are pretty much full. Now I just have to not buy any more books.
