Plowing through potential student applications- they look good; I have one lady that lives in Kerrville and wants to drive the 2 hours every week for classes. I don't envy her at all for that, because I've done the 2 hour commute thing and it really sucked. But at he same time I'm jealous too, because she lives in Kerrville, where I found my connection to deity in a lot of ways. I always loved nature, but I had a lot of time to explore it, and a lot of it around, when I lived there. I've dreamed of moving back someday but the sad fact is that Kerrville is a very conservative town, and I certainly wouldn't have the community support that Wiccans here in hippy-trippy Austin have. I feel like I can walk around in my tie-dye dress with no bra and my hairy pits showing to the world and no one really cares. Dunno that it's possible in Kerrville.
It's going to be a week of visual feasts- I am planning to see Lord of the Rings Saturday, and next week is the Dark Goddess play. One of the students is in this play and I was going to meet her, but we never firmed up a time so I'm not sure if we're still meeting today. I may end up meeting her at the play. I had this weird dream where I went to a rehearsal and it was just a big, chaotic drumming and dancing thing out in daylight, but they were raising a lot of energy. And buzzing with hyper drama people. Weird brain I have.
My shoulder hurts. Time to go see the chiropractor. But we're having some really nice weather- I may ride the motorcycle today.
