Crazy pills
May. 8th, 2017 09:52 amSo I've been having hand tremors. They've been getting steadily worse over the past months, to the point where it's actually been a little challenging to do shit like eat with a fork. I went to my doctor, and she looked at the meds I'm taking. Every medication on FSM's green earth has a slew of side effects listed, usually with about a 2-5% rate. Evidently over 20% of people on Wellbutrin get tremors. And different tremors look different, and she determined this didn't look like Parkinson's, so we're putting money on the Wellbutrin.
She's halved my dose and we're seeing how that goes. The tremors are pretty much gone, yay! My mood's taken a big nose-dive. Boo! We discussed this possibility, and she said there's options- she mentioned Cymbalta, and said she'd take me off both Wellbutrin and Prozac to put me on it. This may be in the works. I'm feeling extra-sensitive and weepy after only a week at the half-dose, and that bodes ill. Maybe it'll level out, but the fact that the tremors are gone means I should probably just get off the Wellbutrin.
I'm extra sensitive. Things that would just be slightly annoying are hugely awful. Worst-case scenarios dominate the landscape. Right now my head is a pretty shitty place to be.
