day 04 - a song that makes you sad

I'm waiting for the Green Day Rock Band extra stuff to download- I has an export code to make sure I have all the Green Day stuff from the previous Rock Bands connected up with this game. It's a perfectly reasonable thing, but everyone and their dog is probably trying to do this at the same time, so it's taking some time. In the meme-time, what song makes me sad?

It's appropriate for today, because there seems to be a rash of sad going around. The first one that popped into my head was this one. My ex, the guy I was engaged to before he cheated on me then dumped me, said after we broke up that this song made him think about me. It seems to be full of regret, and hearing that he felt all this regret saddened me greatly on several levels. Primarily, if he thought I was such a great catch, why dump me? Why, indeed. Having done that cleared the way for much, much better things in my life, but of course I couldn't know that at the time. Green Day Rock Band

I like it. But you knew I would. Well, even if you didn't, I knew I would. The only way I could not like it would be if it was a band I really loathed. Like... oh, Lynyrd Skynyrd.

So, I started playing around 2:30; Threeve and Amanda came by a bit after 3. JD showed up at 6pm, and Eric got in on the action near the end- but we went though all the songs by about 10pm. I think I sang on every song except one or two. Amanda, Threeve and I were all doing vocals initially because all of us wanted to sing, and on a couple of songs that needed only one vocalist I went and screwed with laundry and whatall. But the songs were fun, and I'm currently at 5 on the Leaderboards for 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams', and in the top 20 for a bunch of others. I'm sure that will probably evaporate as more people get the game and play through it, but screw it! I burned a day playing Rock Band. I'd do it again too! I regret nothing!
