Man, I forgot just how much I HATE packing boxes. We moved so much when I was a kid, and it always sucked, and taking posters down and putting all my stuff in boxes just takes me back- but in the bad way. Hate it, hate it, hate it.

Have I mentioned how much I HATE packing?

Eric keeps encouraging me with how much nicer the room will look once we're done with all this. We've pretty much decided what it's all gonna be.

The floor will be a strand bamboo plank which is bamboo that's been taken apart then glued back together with doubtless horrid, toxic chemicals which nevertheless make it nigh-invulnerable. Eric's taken one of the samples we were sent and has been stabbing it and soaking it in the sink and otherwise subjecting it to various types of torture, and the stuff looks fine.

The walls will be light purple, with medium purple on an accent wall and for the trim, and the freshly-de-popcorned ceiling will be dark purple.

There will be a wall of bookshelves, which will be a woodgrain with a dark, dark, almost black stain. The rest of the furniture is birch-like wood veneer with black trim.
