Man, this job gets on my last nerve sometimes. Being yelled at by a crazy lady for a half-hour lacks fun. Believe it or not, the conspiracy goes all the way to the top, and I'm just another white girl who won't help her out. Yeah, well, lady, I don't like you either.
The sweet tea from Wendy's- insufficiently sweet. If I'm going to go ahead and fall off the wagon and get sweet tea, make it worth my while. Now Grandy's, they could make some goddamn sweet tea. We called it hummingbird food. So good.
The whole Texas Flood album by Stevie Ray Vaughan came out on Rock Band yesterday. They had a battle that they initially let anyone in on, which became problematic because one of the songs had no vocal track so when Stevie (the prof, not the dead one) and I tried to do battle (he on guitar, me on the mic) we'd get through 'Texas Flood' (and quite handily) but then it would lock up on 'Rude Mood'. I tried it alone on guitar after Stevie went back to work, and managed to get in 36th place but they've since fixed it and made the battle specifically guitar-only and I'm sure I've been knocked way down the list since then.
Singing blues is fun, even though I can't really say I have much to sing the blues about. Singing it with no consonants seems to approximate SRV's vocal style a lot more than I thought it would. Eric tells me it's boring as shit on the drums, incidentally, but a heart attack on guitar. Bass is fun, lots of walking lines that are complicated enough to be interesting but repetetive enough not to cause my head to explode.
I wish I was not at work. I would like to be outside.
