Okay, so in this dream, Mom's still alive and Dad has somehow gotten involved in this scheme where he packs up the whole family and we're all going to move to China. He's going to work there for a year, after which he will become filthy rich. They've packed up every personal possession I have there in the airport, and we're all just sitting there waiting to get on the flight. I realize that I haven't told anyone, and what really alarms me is that I haven't made arrangements for anyone to run the grove while I'm gone. So I start thinking about it, and think, wait a minute, I'm an adult, why the fuck am I going to China? I don't even want to go to China. So I ask Dad- are we planning to come back in a year? And he says that we might, but he might like it so much he'll just stay over there and live there for the rest of his days. I tell Dad that I'm going to stay in Austin after all, and we part.
Then it gets weird. They go off to the international flights part of the airport, and I start seeing evidence that he's been scammed to sell all his stuff and get shipped over to China, where... something bad will happen. He won't have a job, or he'll be working as a slave in a Nike factory, or made into soylent green, or something. Once he gets to China, or maybe once he gets on the plane, he'll find out that everything the family owned has been dumped in the bay ("the bay"? What bay?) and they have nothing, and no way to get back. I try to run through the airport to find him and tell him, but it does that maze thing places do in dreams when you're in a hurry to get somewhere, and there's evil Chinese men in business suits, and I just escape with the clothes on my back and a backpack full of Vicodin (what?) and I wake up.
