We ran out of the cats' regular chow. I end up with sample bags and cans of cat food from here and there that I hang onto just for such occasions. They tolerated the canned stuff, but the dry they were having NONE OF. Every time I would sit down (usually near a keyboard) Bowie was in my face, shoving his head under my hand and purring. That's sort of nice, but only when you don't realize it's his extremely polite way of saying "will you fucking feed me please?!" Tif was more wont to stand around and miaow her head off. I finally went to the store and got their food, and now neither of them will have anything to do with me.
In other food related news, the Sweet Leaf brand of cherry lime-ade tastes really weird in a almost oily way. I think I prefer Sonic's, which is without a doubt much worse for me.
Also, the spring rolls from the Whole Foods downtown are vastly different from those sold at the Whole Foods up north. The north ones are much superior. The noodles are finer, the veggies are chopped better, the sauce is hotter and not as sweet, and the tofu is grilled or otherwise prepared in such a way that it actually has some flavor to it. North Whole Foods for the win!
