I popped awake at 3am. Brain and digestive tract have been really, really active. Now they're starting to mellow out, but it's 6am. Yeah, I'm probably going to miss a little work over this. Maybe not a whole day.

Friend Amanda (tsarina) okays product reviews and occasionally comments on some of the weird shit people say. Thus the following:

Why the quotation marks? Is "friend's driveway" some baroque new euphemism for fisting?

The elusive Threeve had some free time last night so I hung out with him and ate bad food and listened to music. Not mp3s, mind you, but actual vinyl. After enduring his horrified glare after chirping "what, they still make records?" it only seemed reasonable. And you know, I miss that crackly sound. It brought back a lot of memories. He has one of everything, it seems, including Vangelis' rock band (he had a rock band?) and played for me a song called "Jesus Loves Me But He Can't Stand You" based on a snide comment I made. Also, I heard the nerdiest record ever. A band called Harry and the Potters which writes Harry Potter songs got together with a band called the Zambonis which writes hockey songs, and they wrote some Harry Potter hockey songs. Since I didn't want to feel left out, I played my 'Spanish Flea' ringtone, and he immediately pulled out not one but two Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass records. Good lord.
