Yesterday started early and ended late. I didn't sleep very well, and we got up early to be on the road by 8. We drove through the mist and very light rain and arrived at this lovely little B&B around 1pm. Gordon went to grab some lunch while I unpacked and got ready to head over to John's house to convocate. The reason I'm here 3 days before the camp-out is because the 3rd degrees and Elders (like bishops and cardinals, I guess) are getting together to pow-wow and talk about where the Tradition is headed and the like. We did some of that, along with just a lot of shooting the breeze. Then we had a ritual, which was pretty cool. Then feasting and socializing, though I bugged out pretty early (11pm) and headed back to the B&B; I was pretty exhausted.

We're in basically a 2 bedroom apartment here, and while I was convocating Gordon went with the super-friendly owners to a nearby giant farmer's market and got stuff for breakfast. He made me extra-crispy bacon and we had fresh fruit and danish, and he had scrambled eggs with fresh dill. He's in the shower, then it'll be my turn and we'll visit the farmer's market again before I go back to John's for more bishop activities.

Gordon took me to the giant Dekalb farmer's market. Eric asked me to keep an eye out for some things, and they were out of all of them. He said "or something Georgia-related" but unlike every place bigger than a phone booth in Texas that sells things, not everywhere in Georgia has a section of Georgia-related and/or -shaped stuff. I did find a couple of interesting items though. I got some clotted cream, which I guess I need to eat before we go to the campsite Friday unless I can borrow some refrigeration from someone. It definitely needs to be eaten before we drive back to Austin. There were no scones so I got a loaf of cranberry nut bread.

They had one of those salad-bar hot-lunch just pile stuff on a plate and we'll charge you based on how much it weighs sort of places. They had a million of those in NY (but twice as expensive) and I always thought they were cool. My lunch consisted of carrot salad, cooked beets, lasagna, and a veggie samosa. I was trying to be as eclectic as possible.

Now, to convocate some more.
