Gather 'round, children, and I'll tell you the latest in the guaifenesin saga. *acoustic guitar strum*
So I called my doctor and complained about the trucker speed she'd prescribed for me. I asked if I could just get a prescription for plain guaifenesin, which I believe is called Humibid. She said sure. So I went to the Walgreen's later that night to pick it up. They said not only did they not have it, they were pretty sure it wasn't even being made anymore. The official word is that it's being 'reformulated', but she thinks they're probably not bothering because you can buy it over the counter anyway. I know that, it's expensive, the high doses and time-release versions aren't made in generic form, that's why I wanted a prescription. Dammit! So I am stuck with buying Mucinex. I can afford it, it's just annoying.
It's like the discussion my husband and I had about heavy-duty aluminum foil. It was hysterical. You really had to be there. I love being married! It's everything I'd hoped. And contrary to what you're thinking, I'm not even being sarcastic.
I'm also not kidding when I say, I thought being relieved of my uterus would mean I didn't have a period anymore. I mean, WTF! But no, it's not uncommon. Again, more annoying than anything else, but sheesh. What a weird world.
Tonight we're havin' company over for dinner. We'll have to get out the nice towels and top off the litterboxes with the stuff that smells like flowers and put away the guns and smut. Whee!
