Aug. 7th, 2005 09:50 amYesterday was spent mostly getting ready for the Lammas ritual. I will also admit that I got sucked into playing Pocket Tanks a couple of times. It's a simple, fun game that I would say is mindless, but it actually requires a bit of thinking. It's funny that what I wish it did most was play over a network so I could play with hub without him having to sit at my computer (2 people can't sit at my desk comfortably). Hub thinks it would be better with more kinds of weapons. Hell, I was happy with the demo version, but hub insisted on upgrading me so I would have more weapons. I will admit that it's fun to shoot things like 'rainbow dirt' bombs. I tend to avoid über-violent games (if I do computer games at all) and stick with stuff like the Sims. Pocket Tanks is sort of violent but not in the blood splatter, give-me-your-spines way. There's a bomb called pillow fight- it lobs a pillow, which hits, does some damage to whatever it hits, and explodes into a cloud of feathers that drift down and do another couple of points of damage apiece. What's not to like about that?
