Jul. 20th, 2005 11:11 amYesterday I went to the lake, though it was hella windy and choppy and swimming was pretty taxing. I guess I got a better work-out, but I also got smacked in the face with waves and got a bunch of water up my nose. Thin and drowned does not beat fat and not drowned. :p So I came home and when the Moon was good and up did a few laps in the pool.
Then I stayed up and played a new game hub got, Alhambra. He is really digging the European board games. Those Germans can make some really nice-looking, fun games along with the freaky pr0n. Anyway, so you're building this Moorish palace with fountains and gardens and such. Hub got it because it was pretty and simple, right up my alley. The only thing that would make it better would be if you had to shout "Alhambra!!!" at some point. Or the name of the manufacturer. "Überplay!!!"
I finally had to beg off after midnight. "Please don't make me build palaces anymore, I want to sleep!" Now of course I'm at work and sleep-deprived. And I have a weird cut on my finger. At least the burn from last night's not bothering me. I am logging my calls today like Kirby did so people will have an idea of what sort of calls I take during the day if you're curious. Look for that around 7pm CDT.
We're getting weird rain, presumably from hurricane Emily. It was lightly misting when I left for work. Then raining heavily. Then raining really heavy. Then nothing. When I pulled in at work, it was dry. We almost had a power-out from a lightning strike. It should be an interesting day.
