Oct. 11th, 2004 08:43 amApparently it's a school holiday. I had no idea. Phones are very slow, and they said they might let some of us out early. Boy, that would be cool!
I never did mention- we were planning to go to the party de Bob on Saturday, but both decided we were feeling less that scintillating socially, so we bailed and went to Fry's to look at, well, stuff. We need a new dishwasher (exciting!) and Homer's tape deck says it wants to be cleaned since I listened to the whole BOTA Quabala series on my Georgia trip (anyone want to borrow it? Not beginner stuff, but I enjoyed it). You know, Fry's didn't have a cassette tape cleaner. They had cleaners for VHS, video cassettes, and a jillion other things but not tape players. Blah.
Anyway, I tried to get drunk since that was the plan at the party,and I just got sleepy. I'm so lame.
Last night was Adult Swim. A couple of people said they'd come but we were all alone. We decided by 10 that we were on our own, so since there wasn't anything spectacular on it was kitten torturing time. I'm glad we only have to bathe and dip her one more time; I feel like such a bastard afterwards. I conked out early again last night which is just as well since today started pretty early. Man, getting to work at 7am sounds cool initially, but it will be a pretty big adjustment to my sleep pattern, though by coming at the end of DST it'll balance out sommat.
