Mar. 27th, 2004 10:28 amI was finally able to sleep in last night. I think it was a combination of 2 things- I wasn't worried and half-listening for Maya, and I didn't have to leave the window opened. One way in which I would not do well after the apocalypse- I love my air conditioning. In this case, it's not the heat it's the humidity. It's typically in the 80-90% range; I feel like I'm lying in God's armpit.
Interesting nonsensical random spam title of the day: "powerpuffgirl says hello atlas"
Last night was the nerds getting together for D&D- woo! I made spaghetti with what was supposed to be meatballs but for some reason that eludes me became spaghetti with meat sauce. Also 5-clove garlic bread. It seemed well-received, and we have good leftovers for a couple of days.
Today is the wedding of an old friend from my former coven. I haven't seen much of him over the years, but I know he's been with this girl for several years now, and happily as far as I can tell. Some weddings you worry about and some you don't- this one is one of the latter. Plus, it's going to be an über-casual one, which works out well for me. :)
I am getting mentally ready for the 3rds convocation in Atlanta... I'll be leaving next Thursday and staying over the weekend. I'll be flying, Ellen will be driving, and Jodi, who has become deathly ill with liver problems, plans to put a bunch of us out-of-towners up in her house. Ellen and I have made a secret agreement to bug out and share a hotel room if it looks like it's causing Jodi any strain; she doesn't need it but would be too nice and/or stubborn to say so. Trip to Arizona is 2 weeks after that, and theoretically Io Pan Jam is a couple of weeks after that. Nobody seems to know for sure what's going on with that; eh, if it goes belly-up we'll just go camping ourselves.
