Working at Christmas- what a pisser. Mainly because it's boring. There are hardly any calls. But I'm doing my part to protect the unprotected blah blah blah.
I brought my camera and took a picture of my desk- woo! I had intended to bring the manual (which is like 200 pages long) but I forgot, although I have been reading it online. I can make little movies if I wanna! Snap.
Both parents-in-law popped by yesterday. Hub's dad loves wish lists, so he got us both some stuff from there. His mom gave us aforementioned nice things, and we had lunch at Zorba's. My mom showed up a little after, and seemed dismayed that we'd opened presents already- but we wanted to be there when it happened, and they have other commitments. Also hub and I exchanged since I do Yule rather than Christmas, and that allows us to exchange things like porn. He loves his Utilikilt gift cert, and he got me some porn and a tie-dyed shirt. He was going to pool his Christmas money and get me a camera too, but not now! We may get extra memory and a carrying case or some other stuff like that.
Anyway Mom unloaded her stuff and went to spend the night at Brö's since they all smoke- as you might have seen in the Wan Fu pictures. That's where we had dinner though hub and I ate really light- Zorba's lunch was still taking up room. We came home fairly early, and went to bed after I did a satisfactory amount of fiddling with my camera.
Now, I'm just passing time until 4:30 arrives and I can bolt home. Brö will bring Mom over then and we will have big breakfast-dinner prepared by hub, and open presents. On the menu: coffee cake (he used his mixer to make it, and said it was fun), bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and a frittata. Yeah, not exactly the best representative of the nutritional pyramid but screw it. We'll just eat salad for the rest of the year.
