Aug. 22nd, 2003 11:55 amWell, I think we figured out the problem. It might've had something to do with the fact that I accidentally set my computer to thinking it was October when I was looking at the calendar to pick possible dates for the Arkansas trip. This messes up the cookies somehow. Anyway, things appear to be fixed. Huzzah!
It's been a weird past couple of days. I've been off work, which is usually great, but there's been a weird sense of unease around the house. Hub's back to only getting 20 hours a week, which wasn't supposed to happen this month, but there you are. So he comes home around lunch time and we sit around wondering what to do with ourselves, which is totally unlike us. I think it's something in the air, because all the kids are tense about going back to school or something. The financial thing is stressing us both out, too; I'm not sure these trips are the smartest thing to do given that, but I have to get out of town every so often especially when I'm stressed. I'll pick up more hours on my off days, I suppose.
Yesterday I went to the lake for some swimmage, and felt sort of lonely. It's different going alone, and I keep pestering hub to come along but he gets bored and hates being harassed by the drunk hippies. I've suggested getting him a flotation device which I can pull around in my teeth like Jack La Lanne, and he says he'll consider it. I was also harassed by drunk hippies, but they were friendly and didn't bother me much and it helped with the loneliness (yes, sometimes any company is worse than none at all). The lake was nice, and I did get quite a lot of swimming in.
Today on the agenda, I plan to take Homer for an oil change. We're planning to head to Houston tomorrow for some natural science museum fun!
