I am at work. I came in at 6am, which according to the U.S. Naval Observatory Astronomical Applications Department is before civil twilight. They also tell me that the Moon phase is waning gibbous with 71% of the Moon's visible disk illuminated. Isn't that interesting?

Here is a good article about writing an email. Everyone who uses a computer will be familiar with the concepts, but there are those out there who don't heed the sage advice. It's primarily meant for workplace emails, but I think it applies to pretty much all of them.

I'm almost done with my 13.5 hour work day. Tomorrow is jury duty... they warned us that there will be no parking, so I'm having hub drive me down. I have asked El Bob to be on alert to possibly pick me up, but I've studied and pondered and thrown runes and yew sticks and stuff and I think I can make it home by bus. This will cost me a couple of bucks, and I will have to walk about 10 blocks to get to the stop, then transfer once, and another few blocks to get to my front door. We'll see if this can be done, and better- done without killing me. It is Texas in August, so if it's after, say, 8am (and I'm supposed to report at 9am, so there's not much chance of that) it will probably be unpleasant. But I'm psyched!
