Aug. 6th, 2003 10:20 amSooo sleepy. I came into work at 8am this morning, after staying up too late because it didn't feel like a school night. Thank goodness I'm only working 'til noon today, then off to make Bolt miserable by taking him to the vet for bloodwork. :(
I am trying to work a teeny bit of sympathetic magic, though. My boss is retiring- micro-managing fuss-budget that she is, I liked her and was on her good side so was reluctant to change units. Well, all bets are off now and I've applied for a shift that has everything I could want in a shift- it's Monday through Thursday from 7am to 5:30pm. No more Sundays, and I start early when there are hardly any calls and get home in time to watch The Simpsons! I'm really, really hoping I get it, but I expect competition is fierce and it's probably evident by looking at my stats that I am (Sad to say) a pretty average worker. My heart's not in it. But just give me a chance, coach! I'm happy to come in 2 hours earlier if it means going home 2 hours earlier; hell, any time before noon is 'early' for me anyway so might as well come in early as possible and get it over with. *hope hope hope*
I was going to try to go to the lake with Ellen, but I haven't heard from her and may just end up taking a nap. I also need to work on Lammas- the person who was supposed to write it flaked so I get to pull one out by Saturday. I have several ideas but am having a hard time bringing them all together.
