Jul. 10th, 2003 10:16 amI re-stuck Bolt the next night. Things went much better. *whew*
Yesterday was up and down. Hub's feeling pretty frustrated with the job thing, and like any time he is doing anything that is not looking for work he feels guilty. I tried my best to reassure him, but this needs to end soon. Soon. Really soon.
We had a couple of friends over though, which was fun. One to make a D&D character, and the other two to discuss starting up a business. The business meetings sort of end up like unemployed support group therapy, but that's fine. I am nominally the person that tries to keep things on track (my role seems to be the organizer- story of my life!) but I didn't push it. People need to talk when they're depressed. Like hub's t-shirt says, this economy sucks and it helps to realize that it's not because you are a fuck-up that you don't have a job.
Today is open, so we may go down to San Marcos and visit a friend. He's one of those people that has a pile of money squirreled away somewhere so he lives in a very small apartment, well below his means, works part-time when the mood strikes him, and spends a lot of time swimming in the river and playing with his dog. Talk about relaxed!
