May. 21st, 2003 10:58 pmLong, long day.
Hub's contract ended early, so he's unemployed for now. There are many possible options on how to proceed, so he and I are exploring them. I took him to Progressive to interview at the job fair, and that turned into a cluster-fuck of under-preparedness, over-attendance, and pessimism. We shall speak of it no further.
We then went to Academy and spent a bit on some camping gear for Flipside, just in time for a nice soaking rain to hit. This is happy in that it will probably prevent a burn ban from being declared in the county we're going to camp in, which would be nice. We got another cooler since we're always running out of room, and they're cheap; plus a nice sturdy plastic table since good flat surfaces are at a premium. In order to get good parking, my white car is going to be made into an art car, by way of black felt and tiny magnets. It's going to look like a Holstein. Other interesting changes will happen as well. Trust me, I have it all planned out. I will provide pictures.
Dinner with Dad-in-law at Zorba's was had; he is looking all tanned from a cruise that he seemed to enjoy very much. His unemployment is about to run out, but he doesn't seem too terribly worried. Bob's is too, and neither does he. I must trust that things will be okay.
