Jan. 29th, 2003 12:13 pmWell, I got kicked out of the allergy study. I suppose it makes sense; if I have a cold and all the attendant symptoms, then they can't really tell how well the allergy medication is working, can they? Still, it sucks. But I'll probably still get $325 of the original $400, since I had only one more visit anyway. At least I can take Nyquil, Dayquil, and whatever other quils I feel like taking now.
After the visit, I went and got kolaches. Boy, do I love kolaches. Today will be cleaning up the kitchen... something smells funky, and if I can smell it as stuffed up as I am, something needs to be cleaned badly. Then tonight is 2nd visit to Holy Well and Sacred Flame... I'd thought I'd be able to convince some people to go with, but have had no luck, so I'll be there alone. Ah, that's okay.
Did I mention that I saw a total stinkbomb of a movie the other night? It was 'Cruel Intentions 2'. The moral of the story is, you can get any male to abandon their morals if you let them watch some hot girl-on-girl action. It wasn't even particularly well-done, either. Then was 'Donnie Darko', a movie that I feel like I should have liked more, but just remember thinking 'ah, it's 'It's a Wonderful Life''s evil, goatee-wearing nemesis.' Hub loved it. I suspect most of the other people I know would too. But I'm just shallow that way- I like movies with happy endings best. Well, OK, except for 'American Beauty'. I'm glad they didn't use the alternative ending (where Ricky gets the chair for killing Lester, based on Angela's court testimony)- the message would have been similar to what I hated about aforementioned stinkbomb- if you are rich and pretty, you get whatever you want. Poo.
